Open Class and Updates

Dear Colleagues,

Happy Summer! I am reaching out to let you know that I’m home in the Twin Cities and will be teaching the Advanced Jazz class at Zenon this summer on Fridays from 9:30-11am. I hope you can drop by to kick off your weekend! I am really excited to share the teaching interests and methods I have been developing during my first two years in my Dance MFA program at the University of Colorado.

With two years down and one left to go, I have a lot I have accomplished and am anticipating. Directed by my passion for jazz and American vernacular dance forms, highlights from my first two years include: my scholarship being both published and presented, coordinating and serving on a conference panel, serving as Dance Department Events Coordinator, touring as a performer, and extensive technique and lecture teaching.

I am deeply grateful to be carefully cultivating my choreography, performance, scholarship, coordination, and especially teaching philosophies and capabilties. I have great love for and skill in teaching in the collegiate atmosphere, and look forward to pursuing such work upon completion of my degree in May of 2015. While I am looking to concentrate my efforts in Minnesota, I have already been receiving workshop inquires from other locales, and would love to travel should the opportunity arise! Work samples and online portfolio can be viewed at this site.

Another thing I am grateful for: an ever-growing network of professional colleagues that I look up to and respect. Thank you for taking the time to stay connected with me; I look forward to how our pursuits will interact in the future!

All the very best to you,
